Luxury label Alexander McQueen and luxury reseller Vestiaire Collective have come together on a new initiative to support sustainability in the fashion retail space. Developed to push the industry toward adopting more eco-friendly practices, the debut of the Brand Approved programme marries Vestiaire s commitment to circular retail with Alexander McQueen s approach to durability in luxury fashion.
At launch, select clients of Alexander McQueen will be contacted and given the opportunity to sell back their previously-owned garments, which will then be authenticated by the brand with the offer for a buy-back price. If accepted, those clients will be given a credit toward the purchase of new clothing from the brand, while their previously owned pieces will be processed by Vestiaire Collective and given an external NFC tag ....

Incredible Pre-Owned Alexander McQueen Pieces Are Dropping On Vestiaire


The designer resale site Vestiaire Collective has teamed up with Alexander McQueen on the first of its “Brand Approved” initiatives. The inaugural collaboration, which goes live on the Vestiaire website on 16 February, reflects an ongoing commitment to circularity in luxury fashion on the part of both McQueen and Vestiaire, as well as their efforts to promote pre-loved clothing and accessories. 
A tartan midi-skirt from Alexander McQueen’s autumn/winter 2006 presentation is among the listings.

The Brand Approved pieces are sourced from select Alexander McQueen clients, who are invited by representatives from the brand to sell their pieces through the scheme. Once any items deemed eligible have been received and authenticated by Alexander McQueen, they are assigned a buy-back price. Should a client wish to go ahead, Vestiaire will list the item on the dedicated section of the site and the client will get a credit note for the amoun ....
