Make sure they re doing everything they promised to make their vehicles safe. we will continue to investigate all possible causes of these safety issues but no mention there of stop driving the toyotas because that was obviously an all of thing for toyota to hear. i would say. i mean you know, it s like getting toothpaste out of the tube. you tell people not to drive them then back off. toyota must be realing. absolutely furious privately. publicly they welcomed the clarification but this is potentially damaging, the fact a government official would go on capitol hill and say stop driving toyota cars if they are indeed the affected model. toyota certainly not very happy today. this is the last thing they needed on top of what are clearly very real problems that are effecting their reputation as a safe manufacturer of cars. what about this other report that i just gave about the braking problem in the prius? ....
