Noida: A dashboard with details of oxygen, ICU and ventilator beds available for Covid patients in Noida and Greater Noida is expected to go live from Wednesday. The portal will, however, not reflect real-time status and will be updated twice or thrice a day, officials said.
Getting a hospital bed has been nothing short of a nightmare for families of hundreds of Covid patients and the lack of information has added to problems. The dashboard is expected to plug some of that gap.
Though Noida and Greater Noida brand themselves as hi-tech cities, the administration and health department only acted after the state government issued directions to all district magistrates to set up such dashboards. “The directorate of medical and health services (UP) has created a similar dashboard. We are checking if the data can be integrated with it,” said DM Suhas LY.

Noida: Traffic signals are an integral part of the mobility infrastructure in any city. And with the number of vehicles increasing with each passing day and barely 500 cops to manage the roads, the Noida Authority has decided to set up more traffic lights in the city.
Officials said that the traffic cell of the Noida Authority will begin a survey of the newly developed sectors and localities from mid-May to find out where signals are needed. The Authority will also rope in an agency to maintain the signals that are not working at present.
Of the 86 signals installed across the city, nearly 30 are not working at present.

NOIDA: To attract visitors, the Noida Authority plans to add more features and amenities to the parks in the city. In a recent meeting with the horticulture department, the Authority discussed what measures could be taken to improve footfall in the parks and gardens being maintained by the Authority.
“Better landscaping by adding features such as floor chess, canopy covered walkways, designer benches, cave concept, grass steps, sloping and introducing other catchy designs within the maintained gardens and parks was discussed in detail and such measures will be introduced during the next makeover exercise,” an official from the Authority said.

NOIDA: Commuters had a harrowing time travelling between Noida and Delhi via DND, Chilla, Kalindi Kunj and almost all other entry points to the capital as Delhi Police stopped each and every vehicle to check for IDs on Monday morning.
Be it work or casual visits, almost everyone was delayed by anything between two and six hours. As vehicles moved at snail’s pace, some gave up and cancelled their plans, while others headed for work in the metro after parking their cars at the stations.
The tailback of vehicles started growing longer at Chilla and on the DND around 8.15am when the Delhi Police began their checking drive.
