Human sex trafficking is a growing concern across the country. While population size is a contributing factor, even small communities in Minnesota are not immune, as shown by a presentation at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Backus.
Aimee Jambor, who worked in alternative education in Brainerd, gave the presentation Tuesday, April 27. She presented information from Kate LePage, Central Minnesota Regional Navigator with Lutheran Social Services, state funded studies as well as personal experiences as a school and parish nurse and in alternative education. ....

This week at Trinity
Trinity Lutheran Church, 1420 S. Sixth St., Brainerd, has scheduled two worship services for this week.
On Wednesday, April 14, there will be a worship evening service at 6 p.m. with Pastor Paul Erdal preaching. Holy Communion will be served.
On Sunday, there will be a worship service at 9 a.m. with Pastor Paul Erdal preaching and Holy Communion will be served. This service is live on KVBR Radio 1350 and livestreamed on YouTube.
Sunday school will meet at 9:45 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.
Intern Matthew Engum will be hosting a book study on “The Great Divorce” by C.S. Lewis. The class will meet in the choir room at 10 a.m. ....
