Security officer delivers homeless woman's healthy baby

A compassionate armed response officer went the extra mile in the call of duty when he helped a homeless woman give birth on the pavement in Avoca, Durban.
Marshall Security community support spokesperson Andreas Mathios said the security company had received a report from a resident that a women was screaming for help in the early hours of Thursday morning in Bailey Road.
“Marshall Security’s control room received a report from residents that a woman was screaming for assistance at one of the residents gates,” Mathios said.
Mathios said the firm’s armed response officer, Bradley Govender had responded to the scene where he found a pregnancy woman who had gone into labour. ....

DURBAN - A reaction officer from Marshall Security has been hailed a hero after he helped a mum delivery her baby in the early hours of this morning.
“In the early hours of this morning, Marshall Security received requests for assistance with a woman in suspected labour in Bailey Road, Avoca.
“We immediately dispatched our Armed Reaction Officer to investigate as well as ambulance services to the scene,” a spokesperson for Marshall Security said.
When the officer arrived at the scene, he found that the woman was in active labour and her water had broken. ....
