$95,000 needed to reopen Silver Lake pool

Use $95,000 of the council’s nearly $1 million in contingency funds.
Delay the Silver Lake Park planning efforts to fund $50,000 in anticipated maintenance and repairs and fund $45,000 in operations from the contingency funds.
Direct the Park Board to realign its existing budget to fund the pool costs, which would likely reduce work or services elsewhere in the park system.
Widman said none of the options are expected to have the pool ready for the traditional Memorial Day opening.
“Contractor availability, the timing of the repairs and the ability to update our operating partnership with the Rochester Swim Club will impact the timing of reopening for summer,” he wrote to the council. “It would be unlikely that reopening occurs at the same time as Soldiers Field (pool).” ....
