The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control announced coronavirus updates. From Dec. 14-16, South Carolina received 42,900 doses of Pfizer vaccine from the federal government. As of Tuesday afternoon, 19,644 have been administered. This week, South Carolina is receiving its second round of vaccinations; 15 health care facilities are receiving doses. Those individuals who have received the vaccine will require a second shot 21 days later. DHEC expects that South Carolina will receive between 200,000-300,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine by the end of the year. DHEC reported 2,055 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 15 new deaths Tuesday. The department also reported 32 new probable cases of COVID-19. ....
