BOXFORD Topsfield, Boxford and Middleton will have plans in place for when the COVID vaccine is widely available to residents. “We will get you vaccinated,” said Topsfield Health Agent Wendy Hansbury. “This is what the public health system is set up for.” The state is taking a phased approach, with hospitals last week receiving the first shipments and vaccinating workers. Masconomet Healthcare Center in Topsfield is scheduled to receive its shipment of vaccines soon, Hansbury said. First responders, she said, will also be receiving the vaccine as soon as possible, but hopefully by mid-January at the latest. “We are working with [Mass. Boxford Board of Health update on COVID-19 vaccinations BOXFORD The following is an update from the Boxford Board of Health regarding the COVID-19 vaccine: This is an update from your Board of Health on developments on the status of the COVID-19 vaccine. At this point in time, we have no details when vaccination of Boxford residents will start. The governor’s phased vaccination program has started. We are in Phase 1 of the plan where the vaccine is limited to health care workers, residents of long-term care facilities and first responders, and is administered by hospitals, clinics, CVS, and Walgreens. Phase 2 of the governor’s plan is projected to start in February at the earliest. The order to receive the vaccine in this phase will be individuals with two or more listed medical conditions (comorbidities), certain critical education and other workers, all adults over 65, and individuals with one comorbidity.
