Spotted the violin case. Curious, she went over, opened it up. Saw the guns. Brought it back to fletchers and called police. Look at video of what happened. As you can imagine, the Police Rushed to this scene. They found the guns in that violence case. They asked where she found it, they went to that spot and found more guns. They were long guns, pistols and there was ammunition. The police are not telling us if they could tell how long they were there. They will trice them to see if they can link them to anybody or any particular crime. At this point it remains a mystery. It was a traffic nightmare. At least that woman did the right thing. This woman saw something and chose to sa s the citizens help us keep everyone safe. Brad she brought up the inauguration upcoming and concerned to find a pile of washington. June is now bringing the heat, and we're not quite to actual summer just yet. Your Bowie County Sheriff's Deputies had a total of 83 arrests last week, 36 of which were by BCSO, and another 47 were brought in and turned over by other law enforcement agencies to Bowie County.
The wet weather continues as we fall into June with a much better report after 3 solid weeks of over 90 arrests each week. As the end of May approaches and the weather is getting hotter and wetter, our arrest numbers in Bowie County went in the wrong direction again.
