The countrys largest Labor Union called for the strikes after the bodies of six hamas held hostages were found in underground tunnels in gaza on saturday. Union leaders hope a strike will put additional pressure on the government to reach a Ceasefire And Hostage deal with hamas. The strike was set to start at 6 a. M. Local time, 1 a. M. Eastern time, and its expected to last for one day. Israels main International Airport shut down in solidarity. Its expected to be closed for at least two hours.
