Taxes. The county executive estimates almost 8 million could be generated over a 30year span. I thought it was a completely nutty idea. And it really needed to be stopped right now. And caltrans has named it the worlds most beautiful freeway which, um, it continues today. And billboards recover are not allowed. Reporter at least three supervisors are open to look at the idea but they were unavailable for comment today. And it did gain traction among at least one driver i spoke with who says billboards could be done in a way that wont spoil the natural beauty. I think its beautiful regardless if theyre there or not. I think the best thing to do is to take out things that are unnecessary and put billboards up. We need money.
