Oakland Police Tweeted out these videos of people in the crowd, chucking Water Bottles at police and pointing a green laser at officers. The clash is playing out in the area of mande night and grand avenues just off 580. The also reported rocks being thrown at him and protesters being shields as weapons. Police warning that violators will be arrested. It remains unclear if anyone has been and we will can do to monitor this protest. California Public Utilities commission and pg e will hold a meeting this morning on the companys preparedness for the upcoming shut off. The press democrat report says pg e will cut the number of customers to lose power down by onethird because it made smaller sectors in the electrical grid. Ban on evictions in place really big win and just a huge relief for tenants across the city in a district overwhelmingly filled with renters city supervisor dean preston says he introduced the legislation to protect people. He feared without covid19 rent forgiveness, a wave of evictions would follow the small Property Owners of San Francisco weighed in on their failed attempt at suing the city over the eviction ban saying in part quote we are very disappointed in the decision we are not looking for ways to evict people we simply want the same rights in access to the state courts that any other citizens have the county board of supervisors has overstepped their Legal Authority they have the right to appeal and maybe theyll do that, but thats up to them but in the meantime, we know that for the foreseeable future this law will take effect it will stop any evictions preston has maintained the law does not mean the rent is wiped out renters will still have to eventually pay whats owed but
