A driver with a lapsed licence will have to spend the next seven days cooling off after being clocked driving almost 80 km/h over the speed limit in Gatineau.
On Tuesday at about 8 p.m, Gatineau police stopped the vehicle, clocked at 169 km/h, in a stretch of Boulevard des Allumettières with a legal speed limit of 90 km/h.

The driver’s licence will be suspended for seven days. He or she police did not specify a gender was also fined $1,458 for speeding and another $489 for having an expired driver’s licence, with 14 demerit points.
