FAIRBURN, Ga. – Members of the No. 29/18 Florida State cross country teams competed in the collegiate races at the Alexander Asics Invite in Fairburn, Ga., at Bouckaert Farms on Saturday morning. Redshirt freshman Zach Cloud was the winner of the men’s 8K, crossing the line with a time of 25:09.23, just under six seconds ahead of the next competitor. “Zach Cloud had the highlight for today,” FSU head coach Bob Braman said. “It was really nice to see Zach come in and run a great race and it looked like he had more in the tank too. He could potentially step up for us and today was a great breakthrough for him.” In the women’s 5K, Rebecca Bergnes took bronze, finishing with a time of 17:44.30, which was just off her personal best (17:42.6).
