as much as it can. the streets are busy. there is traffic everywhere and the bridges are open around tahir square. many of the people are ordinary cairo residents who have come to see the damage firsthand. they have come with their kids. some looking in utter disbelief at the damage that was done to this square and their city. look at all these rocks. every one of these rocks was used in that fierce battle we saw just a few days ago. so that is one of thoet petro bombs they were throwing at each other. you fill a bottle up with gas, with petrol, stick a rag in and light it. that one didn t go off because the rag was in intact. we ve been checked three times, three different checkpoints, patted down, our i.d.s checked.
