Trains are running again. Metro crews are working after this smoking incident. You see them down here and up on the tracks. Metro as it was a smoking boot that caused the smoke this afternoon. The boot is the portion of the track that is supposed to contain, and protect the power cables. This stretch of track happens to be one of three sets of track identified by the fta that metro needs to address immediately. In a letter to metro gm, paul whitfield, fta says the three areas that need urgent attention.
