Earlier in the day, the Duchess s team shared footage on her social media of her hiding a book on the grounds of Kensington Palace for the public to find.

This morning saw the release of a new photography book by the Duchess of Cambridge,
Hold Still: A Portrait of Our Nation in 2020, collating pictures illustrating people s lives during the coronavirus pandemic over the past 12 months. There were some 31,000 entries, narrowed down to just 100, with a judging panel headed up by Kate. The book has already become a bestseller, despite only being on sale for a handful of hours. ....

Hold Still is a book of 100 photographs taken by members of the public during lockdown covering three themes – helpers and heroes, your new normal and acts of kindness.

'Book fairies' bring stories to life for children in lockdown

Book fairies who read stories online to children around the world have been a godsend during lockdown, according to one mother.
Carys Wiggans, the Cornish Book Fairy, started filming herself reading children s books in March 2020 as a way of helping people isolating at home.
Since then she has been joined by others across the world, bringing stories to life for children.
Ms Wiggans said people have enjoyed hearing other voices during lockdown.
We just wanted to try and entertain I suppose when we were stuck doing nothing.
The Book Fairies project usually involves hiding books for people to find, but it had to adapt during the coronavirus pandemic. ....
