After taking Boogie Festival by storm earlier this year, Ausecuma Beats return to the stage to launch their debut, self-titled album, out now via Music in Exile. A band formed to celebrate diversity in music and featuring members from Senegal, Mali, Cuba, Gambia, Guinea and Australia, Ausecuma Beats are an absolute tour-de-force, a stage presence to be reckoned with. The 9-strong band will bring their unique brand of Caribbean flavoured afrobeat to The Curtin, packed full of endless grooves and frenetic rhythms. Bring dancing shoes. ....

Cash Savage and The Last Drinks are one of Australia’s hardest working live bands and also longtime favourites of us here at PBS. Fresh from rocking Boogie Festival recently, Cash Savage and The Last Drinks have just been announced on the line-up for June’s
Good Times Festival in Tocumwal. For Studio 5 Rewind we re-visit a sweltering set from the band performed in Studio 5 at PBS as part of our Drive Live event in Feb 2017.

Since early January, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl has been playing host to many of the best live acts in Australia. The Live at the Bowl series was conceived in partnership by Arts Centre Melbourne and the Victorian government and they’re rolling out another bumper selection of live music and comedy throughout the month of February.
Whether it’s dirty pub rock, heartfelt storytelling, gospel, Afro-fusion or stand-up comedy you’re looking for, February’s Live at the Bowl program has something for all tastes. The series has already made life in Melbourne feel a lot more normal and the six gigs detailed below are further proof that this city can be gloriously bountiful when a pandemic isn’t getting in the way. ....
