In an emergency meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners, a resolution declaring an emergency in the county was approved unanimously by Commissioners. The resolution declares Lincoln County a disaster area, allowing for the exercise of necessary emergency powers and the expenditure of available resources, the resolution reads. Lincoln County Manager Ira Pearson said updates on the fire are coming from the U.S. Forest Service which indicated the fire had grown to 4,000 acres by 5 p.m. April via its Facebook page 26.
