again, just for those of us who don t cover this type of criminal law on the regular, why is a private business, a bill bondsman involved in this for somebody like a defendant like president trump? sure so there are a couple of ways where you can get out of jail by posting, bond you could pick cash on which means that you could take $200,000 in cash, and give it to the court and they will hold it to ensure that your turn, you could put the property up, right? and then you don t return that property that s gonna be, taken or you can use a bondsman and that bondsman essentially goes and pays the $200,000 and you pay that bondsman a percentage of. it typically, anywhere between ten and 13% of the amount of the bond. and that is for the bounce, meant to put the money up as a security as it were to make sure that you return it to a criminal defendant to court. is there any reason why we should be surprised that mr. trump is using a bondsman rather than somebody s own money?
