Basically it would include some sort of reduced sentence for tevaras. now, it does appear, as you note, that the only way that, you know, prosecutors could have received this information is from tevaras. there s this bombshell information seems like it s out of a mob movie where de oliveira is telling tevaras to essentially delete the security tamara footage. now, he says it s coming straight from the boss. we don t have, you know, a firsthand account of that conversation between donald trump and de oliveira so, you know, the implication could be that the government is putting the squeeze on really to get somebody else to flip. one other data point is that tevaras switched lawyers. yeah. now, it s unclear who is paying for his lawyer now, but the lawyer he did have also represented walt nauta. yeah. who is a co-defendant in this case. so what does it tell us that he had to sort of deconflict there? there was a conflict ....
it is a lot of counts. i don t anticipate that these charges will cover newing other than the alleged anything other than the alleged hush money payments, and the reason that the charges could be larger hand what we think of as like a 1-count sort of thing is that every single phone call, every single e-mail, every single payment depending on how they re alleging that occurred could be charged separately. that s very common. that doesn t mean that the case is stronger hand what we anticipate. i highly doubt there s any bombshell information in the indictment that s not already been leaked out there, and certainly michael cohen, i think, would have come forward if there was anything that was going to make this some sort of slam dunk case with a smoking gun. i think it s just an overcharging which is typical in some of these cases. neil: and again, real quickly, if it came to a trial, that thing could be a year or more away, right? the timing is absolutely a huge question. there s ....
Be in this situation in the first place because they would have made sure he returned the documents, particularly the classified documents. i don t know how much of it is the fault of lawyers or they don t have control over their client. but it s really outrageous that he has things that are public records and should have been returned in the presidential records act, but there were some 300-plus classified documents in his possession. that s really extraordinary. it is. and of course you worked with the january 6th committee as well. i m wondering just based on the fact that a lot of things have been parallel, if not truly intersection, but parallel investigations and discussions. might any of this be intriguing to that committee? possibly. one of the big questions we don t know the answer to is do any of these documents, whether classified or non-classified, do they in any relate to what happened on january 6th? if so, that could be, you know, potential bombshell information beca ....
Okay. sara matthews former deputy press secretary under president trump who resigned the night of january 6 has been subpoenaed by the committee. she has spoken to them before but now she has agreed to testify at a future hearing. what might we be hearing here? you know, i think that we have, you know, the last hearing gave a lot of bombshell information about his conduct, his actions, his thoughts during this whole process, whiskey, it s key to understanding his role in what happened. i think you could hear more of that from her, but it s impossible to know until we actually hear the testimony. two people that we ve been highlighting over on our magic wall segments every day for weeks now have been cassidy hutchinson and sara matthews. cassidy hutchinson was an enormously important witness. sara matthews talks about being inside the white house as the riot was happening and said something to the effect that we all realized that the president had to tamp this down, we look ....
They ll be indicted or what is the purpose of an investigation like this one? yeah, it certainly started as a counterintelligence investigation and it s likely continuing as such parallel to what is now the criminal prosecution and this violation, the foreign agents registration act, is within the fbi worked by the counterintelligence division. now, there may be partnered prosecutors and agents from public corruption, and we should pay close attention to that, because one of the angles i m sure investigates are focused on like a laser is whether any of these characters will offer that rudy told them that he had the ear of the president, that he was convinced that the sitting u.s. ambassador to ukraine could be removed. why? because maybe trump told him so. that would be bombshell information that would be very much a part of any national security inquiry, and answering that seminal question, was the ....
