Brigadier General Floyd Harrison Trogdon served in the U.S. Air Force as one of a few to reach the rank of general from Randolph County and the only one in World War II, leaving his family with pride in his accomplishments and dedication to his service. On April 30, Trogdon was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery, serving as the final resting place for more than 400,000 military veterans.
