ABYC Updates Board Joe Maniscalco The American Boat and Yacht Council added to its board of directors at its recent annual meeting, with a new member and officer appointments. Joe Maniscalco, who has served as marine service manager with Yamaha Motor Corp. for nearly 18 years, was named to the the ABYC board. Maniscalco also oversees the company’s apprenticeship program, which partners with trade schools across the country to train the next generation of marine technicians. “Our industry is facing a shortage of qualified technicians, who are the cornerstone for providing boating enthusiasts with worry-free boat experiences,” Maniscalco said in a statement. “Working directly with ABYC as a board member will allow me to support a common vision we share of providing career opportunities to those who want to pursue a meaningful career as a technician.” ....
