DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Duluth and Superior will honor and celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King on Monday with a virtual rally.
Coordinated by the Duluth branch of the NAACP, the event is free and open to the public from noon to 1:30 p-m.
This year’s theme is “Our Rising Voices-A Call for Bold Social Action” and is centered around Dr. King’s final book that was published after his death in 1968.
The book “Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community” outlines his plans, thoughts and dreams for America’s future. ....

In the wake of George Floyd’s death while in the custody of Minneapolis police, subsequent Black Lives Matter demonstrations and COVID-19, the need is greater than ever, said Minnesota event organizers.
In Duluth, what’s usually celebrated with days of events, a breakfast and a march will be a live streamed event from 12-1:30 p.m. Monday, hosted by the Duluth NAACP chapter. ....
