Second movie, Halloween Heroes, to be filmed in Henderson Chuck Stinnett Mother’s Day isn’t the only holiday inspiring a movie in Henderson. JCFilms and Little Chicago Pictures have already begun casting for “Halloween Heroes,” a fantasy that will be filmed here in June, according to Bobby Lacer, owner of Little Chicago Pictures. “Halloween Heroes” imagines an idyllic small town. “It really shows Henderson as being picturesque, the best place in the country to live,” according to Lacer. But then Brutus Snively, a conniving figure with old ties to the community, arrives on the scene with plans to take over the town. ....
Story of Mother’s Day movie to premiere in Henderson May 8 Chuck Stinnett View Comments With the Academy Awards behind us, Henderson can now look forward to its own red-carpet event: the world premiere of “The Story of Mother’s Day,” a feature movie filmed in Henderson this spring and starring mostly Henderson actors. The 90-minute film will be screened three times at Showplace Cinema Henderson at 4 p.m., 6:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, which is the day before Mother’s Day. Tickets can be ordered online, and approximately half the tickets have already been purchased. The eight lead student actors either attend or have attended school in Henderson County, including several current County High Students. They include Piper Brewer, Sarah Tuma, Brayden Lacer, Ellie Parker, Mabrey Rice, Lincoln Brantley, Matthew Utley and Justin Ira Jackson. ....
