Comedy Central has released the trailer for
Dark Humor, a new docuseries highlighting the influences and perspectives of Black stand-up comedians. Each of the nine episodes, made in collaboration with Color of Change, will address a different issue, including political correctness, the relationship between politics and comedy, and the experiences of Black women in the industry.
The first episode of
Dark Humor will release on Comedy Central’s YouTube channel on February 1 at 12 p.m. ET, with options to donate to Color of Change, and the remainder of the series will rollout weekly.
The Daily Show’s Roy Wood Jr. are among the other comedians featured in the series, alongside commentary from Howard University Professor Glenda Carpio and talent producer Bob Sumner.
