A bull shark was reportedly spotted swimming in floodwaters next to a man s back fence after a super storm caused flash flooding in south-east Queensland.
A Gold Coast man posted a picture of a shark s large and small dorsal fins sticking above floodwater in Burleigh Waters, a canal-side southern suburb of the city.

In the picture, the canals had overflown, causing floodwaters to breach the back fence and enter the man s garden - while the shark swam just metres away. ....

Officials from the West Elgin Community Health Centre, along with area municipal councillors and staff, are exploring options to provide greater assistance to people experiencing homelessness.
During a Zoom meeting on the subject of homelessness in West Elgin and Dutton Dunwich held Dec. 7, those involved decided to start a community-based emergency housing committee, as well as begin to look at long-term solutions, a news release sent by health centre board chair David James said.

Robin Rob Pedretti died at Salt Beach just south of Kingscliff on June 7 after a 3m shark, believed to be a great white, mauled him shortly after 10am.
