September 1, 1973 – May 30, 2021 Sunday, June 13, 2021 Jesse Leroy McJohnson, the beloved son of Jeannie Lewis and Bob McJohnson (deceased), died unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, May 30, 2021. Jesse was adopted at the age of eight by Jeannie and Bob in Denton, Texas. At the time, he was living in a foster home with his younger brother Larry, who was also adopted by the couple. The family moved to San Marcos in 1985. Two older adopted children had already become adults and had left home. Jesse attended Goodnight Middle School and graduated from San Marcos High School, where he played drums in the school band. He also played baseball and ran track and field. Jesse had Asperger s Syndrome on the Autism Spectrum. He was highly intelligent and could focus intensely on any topic of interest to him. ....
