We could see fire here on capitol hill when senator Dianne Feinstein gets her turn to question lapierre at todays hearing. Feinstein has been an outspoken critic of the nra. Tuesday she told reporters they have fought virtually every kind of regulation. The time has come to change course and the time has come to make people safe. I believe, when you look forward, is obamacare in a different form, and then there is our plan, the one that i think is consistent with what we told the voters we were going to do. Conservatives have a replacement plan. House leadership has a replacement plan. Im sure democrats would like to vote on the aca again. The only way i think this gets done is to separate the issues. Within the house in the last 24 hours, not the obamacare replacement plan, not the Obamacare Repeal plan we have been hoping for. This is, instead, a step in the wrong direction, as much as anything, a missed opportunity. Shannon you just heard clearly, not the way the president sees it. Here he is earlier today.
