Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to a death investigation in the 1200 block of Luett Avenue just after 9:30 p.m. Monday, according to a news release. Officers located a woman with injuries consistent with trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The Marion County Coroner s Office later identified the woman as 43-year-old Latisha Burnett and listed the manner of death as a probable homicide. The coroner determined Burnett died from a gunshot wound or wounds. ....

Officers found the adult female in the 1200 block of Luett Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Monday, suffering from apparent trauma. Medics arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. An autopsy later determined the woman died from at least one gunshot wound. The coroner s office has identified her as 43-year-old Latisha Burnett and ruled her death a probable homicide.
