Anglers are having the most success in depths of 18 to 22 feet. Walleye anglers on nearby Otter Tail County lakes are having success in the shallows and over the weeds. Northern pike have been active on the weedy flats and drop-off zones. Anglers are having success using jigs and minnows. Big Stone Lake: The Minnesota-South Dakota border lake has a solid walleye bite, especially in depths of 7 to 11 feet in daytime hours. Largemouth bass are active in the shallows near the rock-to-weed transitions. The bluegill bite is excellent, especially in shallow depths.
