An anonymous tip led to Wednesday arrest of a 40-year-old man who Nashville police believe purposely ran over a beloved neighborhood goose at an Old Hickory marina.
Nathan Paul Haskins is charged with one count of felony aggravated animal cruelty. He is accused of running over and killing a goose described as a friendly mainstay at Sam’s Blue Turtle Bay Marina last month.
The March 20 incident sparked outrage by Old Hickory community members and beyond. Last month, a group offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the driver of a black Chrysler 300 sedan captured on video running over the goose.
