As an avid gardener, Susan Metzger gets a ton of plant catalogs in the mail. Late last fall, as she was looking through some of those catalogs, an amaryllis bulb caught her eye. The bulb had been dipped in colored wax. It was priced at $30 or so and supposedly would bloom indoors during the colder months without a container. âI was fascinated. I was like, âGary, we have to get one of these for your mom,ââ Metzger told her husband, Gary Hauschulz. Then it dawned on her: âWax. I use wax. Lots of wax! Maybe I could dip them and paint them,â the batik artist thought. ....

A proven formula Ragley’s 29er trail hardtails are mostly designed around a 130-140mm front forks and have broadly similar geometries, despite using different frame materials. The reference numbers for its 29er hardtails, are a 65.5° of head angle, balanced by a 72° seat angle. On a size large, the Ragley 29ers stretch to 460mm of reach. ....
Ragley has unveiled its 2021 range. This year sees an extra mountain bike in the line-up. The new Big Al 1.0 adds a dropper to spec list, 11 speed Deore groupset and the Marzocchi Bomber Z2 upfront. The Trig gravel bike also gets some updates to the spec, including a full Shimano GRX groupset and wider tyres and rims courtesy of WTB. All the bikes now run Shimano drivetrains and brakes, with the steel bikes also benefiting from 4-piston callipers. Every bike still comes tubeless-ready and all the mountain bikes roll on Maxxis 3C EXO+ casing tyres. Taller riders will also now benefit from 170mm drop seatposts on both the large and extra-large size bikes. ....
