Yes. My mother was one of the brightest people i knew. She might have been a University Professor or University President , or a legal luminary but those were so far beyond her reach. She grew up in a large family. Six of her siblings survived into adulthood. She graduated high school at age 15. Only one person in that large family went to university. And that was the eldest son. My mother went to work at age 15 to help support the family because they would not have any income from the eldest son.
