Bloomingdale police released body camera footage from inside of the Indian Lakes Hotel that shows the aftermath of a massive hotel party that ended in gunfire.
People drove in from Chicago and surrounding suburbs. The man who was killed was identified as James McGill, 27, of Chicago s Englewood neighborhood.
Police said there was no security at the hotel at the time of the shooting, just the one employee who heard the gunshots and called 911.
Police also said this is not the first time they have been called out to the Indian Lakes Hotel, and slapped it with a violation. A notice posted on the front doors reads the building is not approved for occupancy.

Bloomingdale has suspended the business license of a hotel where six people were shot, one fatally, last weekend in the northwest suburb.
Mayor Franco Coladipietro issued a temporary suspension order Tuesday prohibiting Indian Lakes Hotel from doing business for 10 days, although the village’s statement suggested the hotel might remain closed.
“The owner, First Hospitality Group, has voluntarily agreed to cease all business operations and informed the Village of Bloomingdale that they have no intention to reopen business operations on the property at this time,” the village said in its statement.

Police initially responded to a call of shots fired on the fifth floor of the hotel at 2:35 a.m., officials said.
Officers responding to the suburban hotel located at 250 Schick Road said they saw no security on duty, just a lone hotel employee at the front desk.
They arrived to find dozens of people running from the building where they found as many as six people gunshot victims inside on the 5th floor. We had five shooting victims. As far as we know - five, Giammarese said. But unfortunately, there could have been more. More than 100 people fled the hotel before we had any contact with them.
