Description
A striking chestnut Sebring colt that was thought of highly by Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr at the sales. She was also rated highly by our Racing Manager, David Mourad and well-regarded bloodstock agent Sheamus Mills.
Mick Price (trainers) comments: From Melbourne Premier a lovely Sebring colt. Big strong just like his Dad was. He is a forward horse as I know these guy on the farm. He works and eats, works and eats. Good trainers horse and a perfect owners horse. I think he is going to race on through his 2yo year and into his 3yo year. Just like the pedigree suggests, he is going to be a beautiful tough racehorse.
The Colt: PRIDE OF DUBAI X LIMONCINO
If you have ever wanted to race a horse with a big pedigree and with a big trainer like Peter Moody, then don’t scroll past this colt.
This colt has one of the best crosses in the stud book, with horses bred on the same pattern or cross such as Group 1 winner Atlantic Jewel, Darci Brahma, Samantha Miss, Osbourne Bulls and Trekking, just to name a few.
He is out of a dam by champion of champion broodmare sire, ZABEEL, who has produced Group 1 winners from his daughters, such as Dundeel, Silent Achiever, Humidor, Faint Perfume, Extravagant and Dear Demi. It can be easily said that this colt would be and could be a stallion proposition, as in his pedigree, he has stallions closely related to him, like Cable Bay, Volksraad and Rip Van Winkle. He was picked by some of the best judges in the business, such as Sheamus Mills (Bloodstock Agent) and David Mourad (Blueblood Thoroughbred’s Racing Manager).
The Filly: STARSPANGLEDBANNER x POWER BIRD
This is one beautiful chestnut filly by Starspangledbanner, purchased from the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale. Really nice filly, great moving filly that looks a real racehorse.
Danny O’Brien (Trainer) comments: I am very pleased to get the Starspangledbanner x Power Bird filly to train for Blueblood Thoroughbreds. She has a really strong pedigree. The second dam was Miss Power Bird, she was an outstanding racehorse. More importantly 2 of her daughters have thrown stakes winners already. There is no reason Power Bird could not do the same. Starspangledbanner is an elite stallion, a terrific, stakes winners to runners and runners to winners. Lovely filly in her own right, typical of a Starspangledbanner. Athletic chestnut filly. I think she has been bought typically well and I am glad she is joining our stable.
