GM Magnus Carlsen won the SuperUnited Rapid & Blitz Croatia leg of the Grand Chess Tour with several rounds to spare in the blitz. After an up-and-down performance in the rapid portion with four wins and two losses, Carlsen dominated the blitz, winning all nine of his games on the first day of the Double Round Robin.
After the end of the Global Chess League in Dubai on 2 July, Magnus Carlsen will travel to Zagreb to play some more speed chess against top opponents in the SuperUnited Rapid & Blitz Croatia tournament, which is part of the Grand Chess Tour. The tournament takes place from 4-9 July and boasts a very strong field.
