evidence that could have lead to joe biden himself. congressman, mr. chairman, thanks for joining us. hournt biden is hunter biden is facing nine additional charges, which he could be sentenced to a maximum of 17 years in prison. your reaction. well, i m not surprised. we ve been talking about lots of different crimes that we found in our investigation of the biden family and the house oversight committee, this is one of many crimes. tax evasion, this particular tax evasion pertains to unpaid income while he was working, and i would argue there s other things received money from that he s evaded taxes. and we believe they clearly violated the registration act, we believe they committed money laundering crimes. we believe there s many more. when the special council, mr. weisse was named, there was a lot of speculation, he s not going to be fair. not aggressive, the fix was in. looks like all the skeptics were wrong. i don t agree with that. this is one of many crimes,
they re afraid to find out what it actually does. and so we get another bill in the dark of night. so the process is awful. our republican colleagues, we ve heard justice being blind. our republican colleagues should be walking around with blind folds cause they don t want to see what s in the bill they re being forced to vote for with all the cuts to people, with all its unpopularity, with all the basic meanness in this bill. they don t want to go home and tell a mom who learns her daughter or son has cancer and an insurance company can make insurance unaffordable for them. they don t want that. they don t want to tell middle class family in the suburbs that mom or dad in the nursing home may no longer get coverage. they don t want to tell 23-year-old young man desperately needs opioid treatment that it may go away.
one person has been killed. officials say things are looking better than they thought, though. but at this point, the fire has not been contained. and florida and the federal government are suing each other over an effort to purge the state s voting rolls of ineligible voters. the justice department says purge violates federal voting rights laws. now governor rick scott says florida is suing the government. he says the state needs access to a database that will help identify people who should be removed from the voting rolls. the homeland security has been stone walling to give us a database we re entitled to. we ve been asking for months. it will give us, make sure we do it the right way and so we were put in a position where we had no choice but to sue homeland security to get that database to make sure that your right as a citizen is not diluted by somebody that s a non-u.s. citizen illegally voting in our state. as you hear right there, governor scott says this is a
