Perspective: Looking toward the finish line

Greetings from your Missouri Capitol on this cool rainy May morning. This is truly one of my favorite times of the year with the redbud and dogwood trees in full bloom, marking the beginning of spring with warmer temperatures soon to follow. With all of this, it also means another session is soon to close. As I look back over the past five months I begin to look at what we did and did not accomplish. Unfortunately this session has not been as productive as my previous sessions but perhaps as we enter this last week we can still accomplish something. We'll see what happens by 6 p.m. Friday. ....
