Looking back at social events
The article on the main Nostalgia page this week tells the story of the emigration in the 1850/60s to Australia by members of the extended Britnell family living in the area around Bledlow and Radnage.
Here we show pictures of some of the social events held in these villages one hundred years later.
We would be very pleased to hear from any members of the Britnell family who might appear in these pictures, or anybody who may be related to the Britnells who emigrated.
Those who emigrated were Jonah Britnell and his wife Sarah nee Gough, who had married on October 25, 1849 at the parish church in Bledlow, and left England in 1850. John was a baker. ....
