Donald Clyde ‘Don’ Stringer WILLIAMSBURG Donald Clyde “Don” Stringer, 84, died Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at his home. He was a retired journalist who served as managing editor of the Daily News in Bowling Green, Kentucky, for many years. He also was an adjunct professor at Western Kentucky University in the School of Journalism. He previously worked at the Atlanta Times and the Nashville Banner newspapers. He was a member of Sigma Delta Chi journalism fraternity and was active in state newspaper associations. Don was born in Bay Springs, Mississippi, and grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He completed a B.S. degree at the University of Southern Mississippi. He served in the First Cavalry Division in Korea in field artillery and wrote for the Stars and Stripes while in the military. He was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association. ....
