Cool for us. Unseasonably cool here. And temperatures yesterday were in the 60s. I dont really see much change here today. Were starting off mostly cloudy. We dont have the coverage on the fog bank, but its a combination of low clouds and some higher clouds. A little bit of activity on the lee side of this year. And you can see the cloud cover coming up. So another day of unseasonably cool temps here, 60s. And thats it. Maybe for a while. All right over to sal now. And quiet or something on your screens. There was a little roadwork steve you know that you see it on the way in. But for the most part, we have a nice quiet commute. We dont have anything major. Lets go right to the bay bridge toll plaza. Tenderloin businesses that stay open late, theres trouble. San looper is with the Tenderloin Community benefit district open air drug markets. They will see open air, resale markets. And theyre often coalescing around places that are open. And so thats not always the merchants fault. As part of the proposed curfew, a 1,000 fine would be imposed for every hour. The business stays open past midnight. We talked to edna rahmani, the owner of underground gift and smoke shop, on weekdays. He closes at 10 p. M, so i was not worth the headache for me to open late. Rahmani agrees with the mayors proposed curfew for business to open late, like 3 00, 4 00 in the morning. I dont think thats a good idea, because the only people going at this time at the street, people looking for trouble. One corner store employee tells me. A hit and run driver leaves a beloved baker in San Francisco fighting for his life. Tonight. His coworkers rallying support from the community to help him during this difficult time. We have drug users all over. And what the problem is, is that when you have businesses that are open, like Liquor Stores and smoke shops, it just attracts more people. The Mayors Office says the idea has a lot of grassroots support from residents and neighbors. Tim benson is a manager at acenas restaurant in the tenderloin. Restaurants operate late into the evening, and he says sometimes customers or workers feel threatened. And he says he hopes that the city could step in and help businesses that have their hours cut.
