With several weeks before being back in competition, Moffat County wrestlers left it all on the mat in their last bouts of the early season. MCHS had four grapplers take the podium at three tournaments.
With the Moffat County boys making waves at a whole new event and the girls retaining their team title at a familiar tournament, Bulldog wrestlers made their mark this weekend. The girls won Saturday’s tournament.
The competition was challenging and lengthy Saturday as Moffat County boys wrestling got back into the demands of the season. The Bulldog boys went 2-3 as a team during the Colorado Mesa University Maverick Duals.
Earlier this year, Moffat County wrestling added a new photo to the wall of their practice room, a space reserved for state champions. That snapshot was the first new entry in 16 years, but Bulldog.
