bomb and why. we are acknowledging that there was a bomb blast on 23rd street last night. we are in the process of vest ga investigating that. during this course during the course of the investigation, we are going to determine what the motivation is at some point, we will say it loud and clear. if it is an act of terrorism, we will say it. 29 people were injured when that blast went off 8:30 p.m. local time. all have been released from the hospital. less than three hours later, another suspicious device, this a pressure cooker, taped up with wires and i cell phone, was found four blocks away from the site of the initial blast. that was carted off for further observation. no evidence of a link to the pipe bomb in new jersey. they continue to investigate. there s a lot going on. we have reporters with the latest information this hour for you. tammy with the latest on the evidence found and victims. pete williams is in washington on the investigation. and hallie jacks
you. what is the latest on this investigation unfolding? reporter: the police commissioner, the mayor and other public officials just held a press conference, it just wrapped up. and what commissioner o neal said is that they have gotten a lot of video from this area. he referenced two specific crime scenes, the first one right here at west 23rd street where that explosion went off at 8:30 last night. commissioner o neal saying it does look indicative of an explosive device, an ied. other getting individual xro from the other crime scene at west 27th street where investigators found the unexploded pressure cooker. what we re learning from our showers is a lot of that video is survey lachbs individuillanc grainy, so not necessarily getting anything from that, but one thing that they have seen is an individual who is in the vicinity of the explosion last night, police and investigators now trying to discern whether or not that individual somehow is connected to this explosion
