James Harker A MAN is organising a mental health walk after a Facebook group he started grew to have nearly 300 members. James Harker has organised the Darlington mental health walk after he said he s had a year from hell . The walk is taking place on Friday (May 28) at 6pm. Anyone is welcome to join the three mile walk starting at Blackwell Stores on the Green at Carmel Road. People are also being encouraged to wear green as a green ribbon is the international symbol for mental health awareness. James, 38, who lives in Darlington, said: I ve had a year from hell, I m sure we all have in one way or another. I was just getting back on my feet when I lost my job when the first lockdown was announced and I wasn t in the best place in my relationship.
