voter turnout: 69.56 per cent voter turnout recorded in Karnataka's first phase of polling

Karnataka saw a 69.56% voter turnout in the first phase of Lok Sabha polls, with Mandya recording the highest at 81.67%. The election was mostly peaceful, except for an incident in Chamarajanagar where EVMs were destroyed during a clash. Repolling will be held in Hanur on April 29.
