The Palm Beach Synagogue is expanding again on the same block of North County Road.
The Modern Orthodox congregation just paid a recorded $7.15 million for an adjacent building that for years was home to the now-shuttered Bistro Chez Jean-Pierre.
The Palm Beach Orthodox Synagogue Corp. bought the building and its rear parking lot at 132 N. County Road through a deed recorded late Friday.
Built in 1925 but substantially renovated in 1980s, the L-shaped, two-story building has 8,554 square feet and includes a suite of storefronts and offices on the north side of the parking lot. In all, the land measures about a half-acre, property records show.
