Free festivities include a talk from Deakin University’s Blue Carbon Lab, guided walks around Hobsons Bay’s wetlands, a sausage sizzle, guitar performance by Ted Smith, storytime with local author Claire Saxby, and plenty of hands-on activities for children and people of all ages. Date Time World celebrations for Wetlands Residents of Hobsons Bay are invited to join us in celebrating World Wetlands Day 2021 at Truganina Explosives Reserve on Saturday 6 February, to shine light on the vital role our wetlands play for our people and biome. Included in the free festivities at this COVIDSafe event are: a talk from Deakin Uni’s Blue Carbon Lab; guided walks around Hobsons Bay’s wetlands; a sausage sizzle; a guitar performance by Ted Smith; storytime with local author, Claire Saxby; and plenty of hands-on activities for children and people of all ages!
