THE electric scooter trial zone in Redditch has now been expanded for the second time since its launch. The new zone will now enable those living in Ipsley, Winyates, Matchborough, Churchill and Crabbs Cross to get where they need to go. E-scooter operator Bird launched its service in Redditch in October last year. Since then, it s has helped thousands of people travel without the need for a car. The trial zone was doubled in size in January. As part of the expansion, Bird is working with the council to install signage in Arrow Valley to help riders navigate easily between East and West Redditch. ....

The micro mobility company also said it plans to invest $150m in its business across Europe. This investment will be used to develop operations in over 50 European locations, including here in Ireland. This includes Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway, as well as smaller cities and larger towns.
