Locally Managed Marine Areas in Africa (Film)
CORDIO has produced the film “LMMAs in Africa”. It explains why LMMAs are beneficial to coastal communities, how they are established and what they are.  It is designed for local fishing communities, donors, government and civil society who want to support LMMAs and spread the word about them. It is also suitable for an audience that is unfamiliar with LMMAs but interested in learning about them. The film covers LMMA experiences in Kenya and Djibouti and is produced in English, French and Kiswahili. The film was funded by the European Union through Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Biodiversity Management Programme in the Horn of Africa and IUCN – Eastern and Southern Africa Regional Office. ....
